Την Κυριακή 20 Οκτωβρίου 2024, τελέσθηκε η Θεία Λειτουργία στον Ιερό Καθεδρικό Ναό της Αγίας Τριάδας, προεξάρχοντος του Σεβασμιωτάτου Αρχιεπισκόπου Αμερικής κ. Ελπιδοφόρου και συλλειτουργούντων των Μητροπολιτών Αγίου Φραγκίσκου κ. Γερασίμου και Πιττσβούργου κ. Σάββα. Μετά το πέρας της Θείας Λειτουργίας ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος Αμερικής τέλεσε τη χειροθεσία είκοσι οκτώ νέων Αρχόντων του Οικουμενικού Πατριαρχείου.
Στην προσλαλιά του κατά την χειροθεσία τους, ο Σεβασμιώτατος κ. Ελπιδοφόρος σημείωσε ότι, εφόσον οι νέοι Άρχοντες είναι «υποδειγματικά τέκνα της Μητρός Εκκλησίας», οι «ομολογίες πίστης και αφοσίωσης δεν είναι απλές δηλώσεις».
Αντίθετα, συνέχισε, «είναι δεσμοί καθήκοντος και ευθύνης που σας συνδέουν μαζί Της στην κοινωνία των Αρχόντων ανά τον κόσμο».
